blissmorgan: (good morning)
Early Saturday workday and a dark and rainy morning combined so that I lay in bed awake a while and then dashed off into the day before it fully dawned, without a wakeup post. I was going to jot down a quick something, but when I came into the living room to grab my laptop I discovered that the rain was coming down so hard that the ceiling was leaking. Again.

At least this time it wasn't leaking directly into my open laptop. -_-

I am having an evening that is self-indulgent in a weird way - I have cleaned up a little and rearranged the living room. I'm trying out a split room concept to see if having half the room geared toward television and gaming and the other half toward reading and artistic thingums is useful or if it just means that we only really use half the room.

I posted to my Patreon just now, regarding the fact that G+ will be closing. This, among other things, affects my Drunkblog, as those have largely resided only on the Ploos. I'm trying out doing them here on DW, and I think they could be really fun here. Threaded commentary is awesome for chatty side conversations while the main stream of comments carries on. I posted a poll, though, to find out if folks would prefer DW or other options such as me attempting to DB directly on Patreon, or creating a relevant FB group, or whatever other suggestion location would seem suitable for Drunkblogging.

Tonight, thought, it will be here. I plan to do a horror anthology called Holidays that is a series of short films about grim happenings on holidays (quel suprise). It's listed as Dark Comedy, which I think means it has the potential to be fun.

Hello, Blisstopia.<3
blissmorgan: (shenanigans)
In which I will be Drunkblogging the horror anthology film Holidays.

Some of you may not yet be familiar with Drunkblogs! Let me tell you: I select a film that I have not seen before, almost always available on a streaming service of some kind (but occasionally on DVD if I manage to get ahold of a cult classic that errybuggy seems to have seen but me); I drink some booze; I watch the film and comment upon it as I watch. Quotations! Guesses about plot progression! Yelling and flailing at actors and sometimes even the writers! It's all here, including spoilers, so avoid the comments if you want to not know what happens.

On the other hand, if you want to watch along and join in on the commentary, do feel free!

Special thanks go out to my Patreon contributors, those special Blisstopians who continue to help fund this and other shenanigans.

Grab a drink and queue up the film, if you wish - this one is available on Netflix. Among others, it features work by Kevin Smith, and having previously seen Tusk I have great hopes.

I intend to begin at approximately 8:30pm EST.
